Accessibility statement

Our commitment

KarmaChic Marketplace wants karmachicmp.com to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of running the site rather than as a one-time project, and our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the most widely recognized standard for web accessibility.

This statement describes where we actually are today. We update it as that changes.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines set requirements for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, at three levels: A, AA, and AAA. karmachicmp.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the site do not yet fully meet the standard.

How we test

We evaluate the site with automated tools, and we pair that with manual testing that includes moving through the site using only a keyboard and reviewing pages with a screen reader. Automated tools cannot find every barrier, so manual review is part of every assessment we run. Our most recent assessment was completed on [CONFIRM: date of the most recent assessment].

Where we are now

We are working through a list of known issues identified in that assessment. The work includes color contrast on certain buttons and interface elements, alternative text for images across the storefront and the product catalog, captions for video content, the heading and list structure of the site footer, form labeling on the Brand Partner application, and keyboard navigation through checkout and account registration.

We are addressing these items on an ongoing basis, and we will update this statement as they are completed.

Third-party content and applications

Parts of our site are provided by third-party software, including our ecommerce platform, the marketplace software behind our seller portal, our store locator, our cookie consent tool, and our live shopping and streaming tools. We do not control the code those providers ship. When we find an accessibility barrier in a third-party component, we report it to the provider and look for a workaround, or another way to give you the same information or complete the same transaction. Live broadcasts are not captioned in real time. Where we publish a replay, we add captions to it, and you can contact us using the details below if you need the content of a broadcast in another form.

Scope of this statement

This statement applies to karmachicmp.com and to our seller portal at sellers.karmachicmp.com. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to, or to Brand Partner content hosted anywhere other than our site.

Review

We review this statement and our accessibility testing at least once a year, and sooner when we make significant changes to the site.
