A Cause Close to Her Heart
Denise’s non-profit foundation, Brooke’s Butterfly Bash LLC, supports the Lupus Foundation of America, Florida Chapter. This cause is deeply personal to Denise, as her daughter, Brooke, tragically lost her battle with lupus complications in 2017 at the age of 18. To honor Brooke’s memory, Denise hosts an annual event on Brooke’s birthday, January 18th.
Brooke’s dream was to help children as a pediatric nurse, a vision Denise now carries forward. Thanks to a partnership with the TGH Foundation, Denise works to support children in the Tampa Bay community living with lupus. “My goal is to prevent another child from suffering like my Brooke,” she says. “I am proud to announce that, together with TGH, we have created a fund in my daughter’s name to actively assist families and raise awareness for pediatric lupus research and support.”

It devastated my daughter’s life and continues to impact so many others.”
